In doing so, Next Orbit is committed to safeguarding Your privacy and the security of Your Personal Information.
You are not required to provide any Personal Information on the public areas of this website. However, You may choose to do so by completing the application forms on various sections of the Website, including to make contact with our partners or to make contact in respect of any questions You may have about this privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”).

For the purposes of this Policy, the following terms shall be defined as follows, namely:
"Information Officer" means Martin Ras;
"Personal Information" means ‘personal information’ as defined in POPIA, being information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person. This includes, but is not limited to:
information relating to the race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, national, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental health, well-being, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language and birth of the person;
information relating to the education or the medical, financial, criminal or employment history of the person;
any identifying number, symbol, e-mail address, physical address, telephone number, location information, online identifier or other particular assignment to the person;
the biometric information of the person;
the personal opinions, views or preferences of the person;
correspondence sent by the person that is implicitly or explicitly of a private or confidential nature or further correspondence that would reveal the contents of the original correspondence;
the views or opinions of another individual about the person; and
the name of the person if it appears with other personal information relating to the person or if the disclosure of the name itself would reveal information about the person.
"POPIA" means the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, as amended;
"Processing" means ‘processing’ as that term is defined in POPIA, being:
any operation or activity or any set of operations, whether or not by automatic means, concerning personal information, including—the collection, receipt, recording, organisation, collation, storage, updating or modification, retrieval, alteration, consultation or use;
dissemination by means of transmission, distribution or making available in any other form; or
merging, linking, as well as restriction, degradation, erasure or destruction of information;
"Website" means the website of Next Orbit currently hosted at paystashio.com, as Next Orbit may choose to use from time to time;
"You", "Your" or "User" means any person who accesses and uses the Website for any reason;
"Us", "Our" or "We" means Next Orbit (Pty) Ltd;
"Job Application" means You completing the application form on the Website and submitting Your CV or Portfolio to Us for processing;
"Test Pilot" means registering with Next Orbit to participate in product testing; and
"Contact Form" means the input form on the Website where You submit an enquiry.
“Service Desk” means the Service Desk website of Paystashio currently hosted at https://byteorbit.atlassian.net/helpcenter/;
“Service Desk Form” means the input form on Service Desk where You submit an enquiry.
4. Accountability
Next Orbit is responsible for Personal Information under our control and has designated the Information Officer as our information officer, accountable for Next Orbit’s compliance with the POPIA. Comments and questions regarding this Privacy Notice or its administration should be forwarded to the Information Officer.
Next Orbit is responsible for Personal Information in our possession or custody, including information that has been transferred to a third party for Processing. Next Orbit uses contractual or other means to provide a comparable level of protection while a third party is processing such information.
Next Orbit has implemented policies and practices to give effect to the principles of POPIA, including:
procedures to protect Personal Information;
procedures to receive and respond to enquiries and complaints;
training staff and communicating information to staff about Next Orbit’s policies and practices; and
provision of materials to explain Next Orbit’s policy and procedures.
5. Data Subject Participation - Accuracy of Collected Personal Information
Whilst Next Orbit will make all efforts to ensure the integrity and accuracy of Your Personal Information, this may not at all times be possible. By agreeing to this Privacy Notice, You accept the responsibility for the accuracy of the Personal Information You provide to Next Orbit and for keeping Your Personal Information up to date, and You undertake to inform Next Orbit of any changes to Your Personal Information.
You have the right to request that Next Orbit corrects any inaccuracies in or to any such Personal Information. Please contact us using the information provided in the "Enquiries" section of this Privacy Notice to the correction of inaccuracies in or to any such Personal Information.
6. Purpose Specification
Subject to paragraph 6.2, we will only use the Personal Information You provide for the purpose of:
replying to Your query submitted via the Contact form, using the Personal Information You provided ;
Processing Your registration as a Test Pilot, using the Personal Information You provided in the registration process. ; and
Processing Your job application using the Personal Information that You provided.
Should the specific purpose for which Your Personal Information is collected differ from that specified in paragraph 6.1, such purpose will be communicated to You when the information is requested.
7. Processing Limitations - Limiting Collection & Processing
Next Orbit will limit the collection of Personal Information to that which is necessary for the purposes that we have identified. Such information will be collected by fair and lawful means.
Next Orbit will not collect Personal Information indiscriminately or in a misleading manner. Both the amount and the type of information collected will be limited to that which is necessary to fulfil the purposes identified.
Personal Information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law. Personal information will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfil those purposes.
Next Orbit will only Process Personal Information for a purpose consistent with the purpose for which it is collected, and to which You have consented.
8. Processing Limitations - Retention and deletion of Your Personal Information
Next Orbit will not retain Your Personal Information longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which the information was initially collected, or subsequently Processed unless we are required to do so by law.
The following retention periods apply:
in the case of Your submission via the Contact Form, Your information is securely stored and Your submission is directed to support@paystash.io. This mailbox is monitored by a controlled group of employees and emails to and from this mailbox are retained indefinitely;
in the case of Test Pilots, Your information is securely stored and will be retained until You request its deletion. We will only use this Personal Information for purposes of assessing Your suitability for future test pilot opportunities; and
in the case of Job Applications, Your Personal Information is securely stored and will be retained until You request its deletion. We will only use this Personal Information for the purposes of assessing Your suitability for future job opportunities
If You request it, Next Orbit will delete or anonymise Your Personal Information so that it no longer identifies You, unless we are legally permitted or required to maintain such Personal Information, including situations such as the following:
where Next Orbit is required to retain the Personal Information for our legal, tax, audit, and accounting obligations, Next Orbit will retain the necessary Personal Information for the period required by applicable law; or,
9. Sharing of Your Personal Information
The protection of Your Personal Information is of critical importance to us and we will not disclose any Personal Information about You to any third party for marketing, advertising or promotional purposes, unless You have given us express consent to do so or unless otherwise described in this privacy policy.
We may share Your Personal Information with:
Our Website cloud hosting partner, Amazon Web Services;
Our email service provider, Google;
Our Test Pilots registration processing partner, Jotform;
Our Job Application processing partner, Monday.com;
For recruitment skills assessments with our testing partners, Coderbyte and/or Test Gorilla; and
recognised legal or regulatory bodies.
We will only share Your Personal Information in the following circumstances:
if We reasonably believe that it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, public policy or legal request (e.g. to assist in matters of public interest or safety or in connection with actual or proposed litigation);
to provide the service You have requested or authorised;
to maintain the security of Our products and services; or
to protect Our or Your rights and to protect our property.
10. Your Rights
You have the right, by written notice to the Information Officer (using the information provided in the "Enquiries" section of this Privacy Notice), to:
object to the processing of Your Personal Information at any time, on reasonable grounds, unless the processing is required by law;
withdraw Your consent for Next Orbit to process Your Personal Information at any time; and
request that We correct, destroy or delete any of Your Personal Information that We have processed in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
11. Anonymous Data Collection
Next Orbit may use tools to collect information about the use of the Website. The technology is not able to identify individual users but allows Next Orbit to collect usage statistics.
Next Orbit may utilise perpetual, temporary or session cookies to keep track of Your browsing habits. A cookie is a small file that is placed on Your hard drive to keep a record of Your interaction with the Website and facilitate user convenience.
Cookies will not be used to identify users personally but may be used to compile anonymised statistics relating to the use of services or to provide Next Orbit with feedback on the performance of the Website.
The following classes of information may be collected with respect to Users who have enabled cookies:

Next Orbit will make its employees aware of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal information.
Next Orbit will use care in disposing of or destroying personal information to prevent unauthorised parties from gaining access to the information.
13. Transfer of Your Personal Information out of South Africa
Next Orbit subcontracts the hosting of data (including Your Personal Information) to third parties located in countries other than South Africa. Next Orbit will, in these cases, ensure that standard contractual clauses are agreed upon with these parties so as to ensure the protection of Your Personal Information.
14. Personal Information of Children
Next Orbit does not knowingly collect Personal Information from persons under the age of 18 years. If You are under the age of 18 years, please do not use the Website, and do not provide any Personal Information to Next Orbit.
If You are a parent of a child under the age of 18 years and become aware that Your child has provided Personal Information to Next Orbit, please contact us using the information provided in the Enquiries section of this Privacy Notice, and You may request exercise of Your applicable rights detailed in the Your Rights paragraph of this Privacy Notice.
If Next Orbit learns that we have collected the Personal Information of a person under the age of 18 years, Next Orbit will take reasonable steps to delete the Personal Information.

Next Orbit may occasionally make changes to this Privacy Notice. The applicable version of this Privacy Notice will always be accessible on the Website.
